Nightmares on Wax is the long-running musical project of producer and DJ George Evelyn, a pioneering figure in UK electronic music. Emerging from the vibrant club scene of Leeds in the late 1980s, Nightmares on Wax became one of the defining artists on the influential Warp Records label, helping shape the sound of downtempo, chill-out, hip-hop, soul, and ambient electronic music over the past three decades.

Known for warm grooves, dusty beats, soulful samples, and laid-back atmospheres, Nightmares on Wax creates music that feels equally at home in headphones, clubs, and late-night lounges. Albums such as Smokers Delight and Carboot Soul are regarded as classics of the downtempo genre, blending hip-hop rhythms with funk, jazz, dub, and cinematic textures.

George Evelyn’s DJ sets are equally celebrated, combining deep crate-digging selections with a relaxed but immersive energy that has earned him a loyal global following. His music often evokes sun-soaked afternoons, urban nightlife, and introspective moods, making Nightmares on Wax a staple for fans of chilled electronic sounds. Decades into his career, the project continues to evolve while maintaining its unmistakable soulful identity and timeless groove.

BoolaBoom are a 20 piece big band playing unplugged house music - a mix of high energy original tracks and jazzy reworks of EDM classics like Insomnia, The Cure & The Cause, Push The Feeling On and deep house favourites like Kerri Chandler's 'Atmosphere'.

They recently played sold out headline shows at The Savoy and The Sugar Club in Dublin and will be playing summer festivals like Beyond The Pale, Forest Fest and All Together Now.
