Wiggle

Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St.

Sat 25th Jul, 9:00 pm

Wiggle are a Cork based digi-dub outfit whose sound has been evolving and joyfully mutating since 1999. Formed by three friends sharing a house in Sunday’s Well, the band began life in a spare room filled with a beatbox, instruments, and a gloriously odd collection of gadgets and toys. That playful, DIY spirit still defines Wiggle today. Wiggle have brought their ever-shifting sound to underground festivals, parties and gatherings all over Ireland, from west Cork hillsides to Kerry mountains, Roscommon fields and Mayo beaches. Deeply influenced by dub and conscious reggae, the band believes in music as a social force: something that brings people together, lifts spirits, and gets bodies moving. No two Wiggle gigs are ever the same. Built on improvisation and flow, their live shows unfold as a continuous immersive sonic journey, an electronic rhythm riot where the music feeds the dance, and the dance feeds the music, right up to the final beat.

This is all part of the Cork Heritage Pubs Ska & Reggae Festival 2026β€”all things ska and reggae that make you groove. So lace up the Docs, pick it up, pick it up, and let's absolutely ruin our dancefloors!
