Peter Broderick & The Winterage Men

Levis Corner House, Main St., Ballydehob, Co. Cork

Fri 31st Jul, 8:00 pm

American born multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Peter Broderick celebrates ten years living in Ireland this summer with a string of shows in West Cork accompanied by his best friends who live scattered around the country. Broderick and this group of four other men have been meeting yearly in the Burren for the annual Winterage, an ancient farming tradition where hundreds of people gather to lead herds of cattle up the mountain. This practice of bringing together the same group of friends each year, finding a place to stay just the five of them after the day’s hike, has become a sacred space for the five lads. A safe place to share the depths of what’s on their hearts while sitting around a camp fire, to cook elaborate feasts and break bread together, and of course, to play music. What began as a tradition of friends getting together and playing only for themselves has finally made its way to the stage. After one ecstatic night at the legendary Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht back in January 2026, the group will continue on with their β€˜West Cork World Tour’, Expect fiddles, a good bit of craic and heartfelt warm vibes.
