The Unknowns deliver an improvised and heady mixture of blues, soul and funk, taking tunes from the likes of Rory Gallagher, John Scofield, Grant Green as points of departure. Regulars on the Cork blues and jazz scene (in venues like Coughlan's, Levis and Charlie's), the Unknowns are celebrated for their soulful, energetic improvisations on everything from All Your Love (Gallagher) to John Scofield's Chicken Dog, to Stoner Hill (Christian Blade) right through to an unforgettable rework of My Favourite Things. Featuring Eoghan Regan (guitar and vocals), Páid Murphy (keys), Noel Barrett (bass), and Tomas Gall (drums), these are some of Cork's finest musicians with an earthy but sophisticated live sound that never fails to excite.
