Mossie Connery: A Celebration

On Thursday 27th August, friends, musicians and members of Cork’s live music community will come together at Cyprus Avenue to celebrate the life of Mossie Connery.

Mossie was a hugely respected and much-loved sound engineer who spent many years behind the desk at gigs across Cork. Known not only for his skill and professionalism, but also for his warmth, humour and generosity, he played an important part in countless shows and left a lasting impression on the artists, crews and audiences who knew him. His passing in 2023 was deeply felt throughout the Cork music community.

The night will feature performances from The Service, Bog The Donkey and The Moondogs, joined by special guests including The Hollyz, Kieran Kramer, Dots & The Dude, Gerrie O’Grady & Martin Finn, Joe O’Callaghan, Jamie Stanton, Hank Wedel, Audrey Lynch and many more.

It promises to be a very special evening of live music, stories and memories, celebrating a man who gave so much to Cork’s music scene.

The event is a fundraiser for Cork Stroke Support, with additional donations welcomed on the night.
