Get ready to rock! Fred Zeppelins Annual Battle of the Bands is back. We're excited to showcase some of the best talent that Cork and Ireland has to offer. Watch as these amazing bands battle it out for the top prize of €1000 and exhibit raw talent, immense stage presence and song writing excellence.

Featuring: VEINS OF MERCURY, RAFTERS, DOC ROE, FÍOR

VEINS OF MERCURY are our second wildcard winners as chosen by our host Esther! They are a Darkwave industrial 3 piece outfit from Cork, blending Darkwave electronics, ritual atmospheres, and immersive visual elements. The project explores themes of melancholy, transformation, and emotional intensity through sound and performance.

RAFTERS are a 4 piece Alternative Rock band based in Cork City. They have been making a name for themselves in Cork recently and developing their unique brand of both melodic and grungy alternative rock. They have been compared to acts such as Title Fight, The Smashing Pumpkins and 'a heavier Radiohead or Jeff Buckley'.

DOC ROE are a 3 piece band from Cork playing loud, raw music with fast moving meaty riffs that bring a classic grunge/hard rock sound. To keep fans on their toes they also throw in some texture changes, different time signatures and shack up in dynamics. A band hellbent on captivating every audience they meet by explosive energy, emotive words and loud rock music. No tricks, no gimmicks, just a grá for the live stuff.

Influences go from the Beatles to Slayer. They weave a sonic tapestry that blends the raw energy of hard rock with punk.
