We’re delighted to welcome Son Solar to the Bodega this Jazz Weekend. Ireland’s premier Latin ensemble, Son Solar brings the vibrant sounds of Cuba, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, and beyond right to the heart of Cork. Their 10-piece band fuses classic Latin rhythms with modern flair, blending salsa, son, bolero, and Afro-Cuban grooves for a performance that is equal parts musical mastery and pure joy.

Formed in 2019, Son Solar has become a festival favourite, known for engaging audiences with infectious energy, hypnotic percussion, soaring horns, and dazzling vocals. From intimate café-style performances to full-on dancefloor spectacles, their music transports listeners straight to the streets of Havana, with every note celebrating the spirit of Latin American culture.
