Berlioz is a jazz-influenced house project from UK artist Jasper Attlee, launched in 2022. The alias marked a shift from his earlier work as Ted Jasper — a project that saw releases on Fat Records and Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce, plus festival appearances and airplay support from names like Gorgon City, Laurent Garnier, and Gilles Peterson. The Berlioz project saw explosive growth in 2023, building a passionate global fanbase after his EP “Jazz Is for Ordinary People” went viral. Blog frenchysaysrelax summed up the appeal as “if Matisse made house music,” capturing the dreamlike, nostalgic quality that’s become his signature.
