A walking tour exploring Cork’s northside history and song with Cllr. Cieran McCarthy & John Murphy. John Murphy is from Ballyvolane is a prolific songwriter and a member of the Cork Singers Club. He has commemorated the Burning of Cork in song in his album, Cork 1920, A City In Flames. Former Lord Mayor Cllr. Kieran McCarthy has created a series of walking tours across the southeast ward and in the city’s suburbs and City Centre focusing on the landscapes, built heritage, and memories.
