Singer songwriter Branwen Kavanagh and duo Wyn Oran will be crossing the Island of Ireland on a double headline tour called “Singing the Unseen” ..a tour which gives voice to the unseen and unheard aspects of nature and the human condition..joining them on the Levis date will be Ballydehob based artist Samuel Arnold Keane. Sunday 29th November Doors 7pm – Gig 7.30pm Over The Shop Counter €15 + BF ——————————— BIOS : Clare artist and songmaker Branwen Kavanagh will be singing songs which give voice to the voiceless parts of nature and our landscape, expressed through conversational folklore, unusual soundscapes and instruments, crankies, surreal humour and almost forgotten stories. Wyn Oran, an up and coming Irish/Scottish folk duo based in Berlin, whose mysterious, otherworldly songs bring the formless and nameless aspects of the human experience through spectrums of darkness and light, will be touring music from their upcoming album for the first time. Samuel Arnold Keane is a forager, an illustrator, a musician… merging various art forms to tell the stories of the seaweeds, coasts and streets, he gathers, wades and walks. Strumming since the age of 11, Samyel accompanies his voice with guitar, as well as playing all sorts of percussive instruments. Having grown up in France the ‘singer-song-scribbler’ sings in both English and French with sprinkles of Gaeilge. He has performed and collaborated within Ireland’s emerging Modern Folk scene, as well as collaborating with physical performers and other multidisciplinary artists. An exciting evening of music awaits, as the acts will perform three small sets as well as a short set of acapella songs together.
