“Jodie Lyne is a singer-songwriter from Cork. She fronts the indie band Mirrors and also plays solo, leaning into a more folk-inspired, stripped-back sound.“
Julia Maria:
“Julia-Maria is an Irish multi-instrumentalist and songwriter known for her folk-infused vocals and emotive arrangements. A session cellist and member of Pa Sheehy’s band and The Fynches, she brings a rich live and studio background to her work. Her latest EP The Skin I’m In, released in October, has reached over 89,000 streams and earned playlist placements. With her debut album on the horizon, Julia-Maria continues to carve out a space that honours her classical roots, folk sensibilities and emotional depth.”
Molly Fawl:
“Hailing from Galway, Molly Fawl is an enchanting indie-folk singer-songwriter, known for her heartfelt original material that weaves personal narratives with evocative melodies. Drawing inspiration from artists like Laura Marling and Niamh Regan, Molly’s music captures the essence of contemporary folk with her own unique twist”
Sam Healy:
“Sam Healy is a guitarist and songwriter from Cork. Primarily a session player he views his own music as a refuge from external influence and a chance to create from a neutral place. Inspired heavily by ambient music you can expect some dreamy soundscapes and colourful voicings”
Kit Barrett:
“Kit Barrett is an indie singer/songwriter from West Cork. He is influenced by a wide array of genres ranging from Bedroom Pop to Soul. He blends sensitive and story like lyrics, often inspired by novels and dreams of travel, to the stripped back sound of acoustic and electric guitar to provide an exciting appeal to his music.”
Ronan O Driscoll :
“ It’s safe to say that Cork born Singer Songwriter Ronan O’Driscoll has had a pretty unconventional career in music since the release of his debut single “Cages” in 2022. A pop ballad that would reach no.1 on the Irish iTunes chart knocking artists such as Dermot Kennedy and Harry Styles off of their top spots... for a day or so!
Wanting to gain more of an original sound before it was too late to change it, Ronan began to explore a wider range of genres adding the likes of blues and alternative pop to his music vocabulary. During this time he recorded an EP worth of singles in Wave-field Studious Clonakilty, releasing them under the artist name of RM Hyde.
Since, he has played a countless number of solo gigs throughout the county putting an original bluesy spin on familiar favourites. The feedback has been extremely positive, reassuring him that there is space at the top for a gritty soul singer hellbent on bringing the old fashioned way of singing & songwriting back to modern day music.
That brings us up to today! Back under his own name and confident in his sound, Ronan is in the middle of creating new music with William Declan Lucey from the famous band “Ruby horse”. The hope is to start releasing later on this year so he can participate in more original songwriter events and venues. Perhaps you aren’t familiar with his music now but if you have a taste for the blues and are of the opinion that music was better in a by gone era than this is an artist that you should definitely be watching out for!”
