James Doyle (Protein bor) began his TikTok journey in 2022 to showcase his battle overcoming his teenage male struggles with Body Dysmorphia and Eating Disorders during his success as a young rugby player.
His gym style content quickly grew him a large following which then began a trend of commenting ‘protein bor’, spreading across TikTok globally, and later gaining him a large following aswell as notable status as one of Irelands largest influencers. After steady growth in the years following, his content evolved to target a wider demographic, showcasing his relatability and comedy through his videos which gave an insight into his life.
Although growing up, James Creative passions involved writing music, he had always put it to the side to further explore different avenues.
His official musical journey began at the start of 2024 with his first official release of “Birds in the Sky - Protein Bor remix” garnering over 3 million streams on Spotify alone and taking over TikTok with his infamous line “there’s no birds in the sky cause they’re all in me car”.
Now after preforming main stage at festivals, and the promise of more songs on the way such as “Banjaxed”, “Spoofer” and “Leitrim Cowboy” a bright career is promised.
