Lorraine Nash noted as “The future of Irish Folk” by The Irish Independent, graced the stages of some of the country's prestigious and long running folk festivals, such as Port Fairy Folk Festival in Victoria, Blue Mountains Folk Festival in NSW, and Nannup Music Festival Western Australia in early 2024 - all this at the age of 25yrs!
Nash is well on her way to gaining the attention of those in the International Folk and
Americana music scene, and announces more International Festival dates in the coming months.
Born in County Kerry, the heartland of Irish traditional music, Nash began her musical
journey at six years of age, becoming a talented multi-instrumentalist of traditional Irish music – Fiddle, Harp, Tin Whistle, Flute - she incorporates many elements of this into her current recordings, while also drawing from her love of country and folk music.
Citing an array of influences from Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch and Laura Marling. Lorraine remains authentic to her own style and songwriting sensitivity. In the wake of her recent album “All That I Can Be” critic John Meagher said of Lorraine, “If Neil Young was the master at writing songs that get to the heart of the human condition, the same can be said of Nash's from-the-heart compositions.”
Lorraine has played prominent Irish Festivals at TradFest, Galway Folk Festival, and
MCD’s New Year's Eve Fest. She has shared a bill with some of Ireland’s finest, including Mary Black, Liam O’Maonlaí and David Keenan. She performed on Ireland’s National Television “Today Show” with her single “Winter Sun', and on a very special music TV show, “Songs of Ireland” April 2024, with national comedic treasure Pat Shortt and Mike Hanrahan of Stockton’s Wing.

With a distinctive songwriting style and a voice that demands to be heard, Irish singer-songwriter BLÁNID is a rising talent. She’s garnered plays across BBC R1, BBC R6, RTÉ R1; TV appearances on RTÉ 1's The Late Late Show, All Arts TV & PBS; and featured vocalist slots on Netflix’s anime ‘The Witcher’ & the latest Warhammer video game.
After her tour with American folk icon Judy Collins, BLÁNID moves from strength to strength. She’s showcased at Whelan’s Ones to Watch, made her solo debut on RTÉ 1’s Fingal Sessions, and was hand-selected by the Ivors Academy for performance and YouTubeMusic songwriting opportunities. Releasing a wealth of new music this year, BLÁNID is “well on her way to stardom” (Earmilk).
